A special update from our partner Judy Keller of Crystal Cruises:
Twenty-five years ago today, Crystal Cruises christened the Crystal Harmony. It’s been an amazing voyage since then, and through excellence and innovation, we have remained the most awarded fleet in the cruise industry! As part of the celebration, yesterday onboard the Crystal Serenity, our President and Chairman announced details about the future growth of Crystal Cruises – fasten your seat belts, this is going to be fun!!
Here are just a few exciting highlights from our recent announcement:
DECEMBER 23, 2015
Crystal Yacht Cruises – In November, we will take delivery of Crystal Esprit™, an extravagantly appointed luxury super-yacht, completely redesigned to reflect Crystal’s signature luxurious style. Crystal Esprit will mark the debut of Crystal Yacht Cruises, a collection of regional, warm-weather seven-day itineraries, with the maiden voyage setting sail on December 23, exploring the Seychelles Islands, capped off by an inclusive New Year’s celebration in Dubai. The all-suite yacht will accommodate just 62 guests and will be outfitted for adventure with features including a three-person submarine, four 10-person zodiacs, 12-person Wider 32-foot super yacht tender and a bevy of invigorating water sporting equipment.
Crystal River Cruises – Crystal’s array of river cruise itineraries will launch in the spring, featuring all the hallmarks of the all-inclusive Crystal Experience® – from six-star service to enriching adventures ashore. Like our current spectacular vessels, these new ships will offer spacious suites and exquisite amenities, marking our grand entry into worldwide river cruising.
Crystal Luxury Air – Taking to the skies, we will once again become a pioneer in the luxury travel industry, offering extravagant around-the-world trips on the most advanced twin-aisle Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The aircraft typically seats 300, but our plane will accommodate just 60 guests, offering fully-reclining seats and our world-class service during travels around the globe. The plane will fly approximately 28-day itineraries, stopping in far-off destinations not typically served non-stop by major airlines. The trips will include accommodations at the world’s most luxurious hotels, the finest Michelin star-level cuisine prepared by celebrated chefs and fabulous local cultural entertainment.
Crystal Exclusive Class – Finally, in what I’m sure many of you have been waiting to hear, is the announcement of three new ocean-going vessels that will establish a level of luxury—and envy—not seen anywhere in the cruise industry to date. Our “Crystal Exclusive Class” ships are polar-class ice vessels – expedition capable in virtually any sea conditions – and will offer such a tremendous amount of space/tonnage per guest and standard of luxury that will allow intrepid travelers to reach the far corners of the world smoothly, safely and in supreme style.
Crystal Residences – Making the aforementioned new ships even more revolutionary, guests will be able to call their favorite Crystal vessel “home,” literally. The new “Crystal Exclusive Class” ships’ top decks will feature 48 luxury homes, available for purchase and year-round residential living. The suites will range from 400 to 4,000+ square feet in space, and will have access to a private restaurant, reception and facilities. Patrons who purchase early can even customize their homes – combining floorplans for larger residences and choosing their favorite décor and amenities.
