Admiral’s Summer Vacations: The Hiltons' Personal Journeys

Creation Date November 02, 2014 // Posted in: Latest News, Featured Articles

Malaka and Ryan journey around the globe preparing to deliver your best travel experiences yet!

Our family enjoys the great privilege of working in the luxury travel marketplace. Thanks to our business specializations, Ryan and I have an opportunity to truly expose our children to the entire world, in the summer months. However, throughout the year, our travels specifically serve you - our valued clients.

Our first major trip of 2014 was a journey to Abu Dhabi for the Starwood Advisory Board meeting in March. Ryan and I stayed at St. Regis Hotels in Abu Dhabi and then checked into Al Maha. If you have any interest in flying to Africa and/or India, we highly recommend you fly via the United Arab Emigrants (UAE) and allow us to organize a stay in either Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Ryan and I also led a group of medical professionals on Viking Rinda from Budapest to Bucharest in June 2014.  Budapest was the standout stop of this itinerary, the c monarchical city of Central European charm reveals a multi-cultural past in Europe, rich with Roman, Renaissance, Turkish, German and Austrian impressions, and Hungarian culture’s rare ability to fuse these interactions into its own unique identity. The capital city of Hungary served as the perfect pre-trip destination prior to Prague and Vienna. (We invite you to Sail from Budapest to Munich on the Beautiful Danube in September 2015 with the Sarasota Yacht Club Travel Club.)

We cruised on Terra Moana from Istanbul to Athens. (Here’s a sneak peek at our recommended itinerary for Turkey and Greece, incorporating our latest discoveries throughout the region.)

During the four months Ryan spent guiding clients on safari at Londolozi and Singita Game Reserves in South Africa, Mana Pools and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe followed by a little R & R in Benguerra, Mozambique. Our family joined Ryan in South Africa for a brief visit where our adventurous children dove with the sharks.

We finished out the year with the Gulf Coast Connoisseur Club, collaborating with Michael and Terri Klauber of Michael’s On East to present exclusive food and wine excursions throughout Tuscany, Piedmont and Vento. It was an incredible trip, from wine tastings in legendary cellars, indescribably decadent dinners and truffle hunting adventures to unexpected discoveries in tiny villages plus the thrills of high fashion in Milan. One of the trip’s first and most memorable stops was Il Borro in Arezzo, Italy. The Hiltons enjoy a special relationship with Salvatore and Tini Ferragamo, proprietors of Il Borro. In fact, we have been friends for almost 10 years, having produced many unique Admiral Travel experiences together for exclusive client events at Il Borro. I’d encourage you to join Salvatore and Tini for a stay at their family’s 10-bedroom villa and taste the legendary Il Borro wines!

Ryan was honored yet again as a Safari Specialist by Condé Nast Traveler while I was personally honored to be recognized for as an Egypt Specialist by Travel + Leisure again as well. While we appreciate the industry’s recognition of our expertise, it’s serving our individual clients with our specialized knowledge and concierge approach to these unique destinations that provides us greatest joy and pride.

What’s coming up for 2015?  We have certainly seen a renewed interest in Egypt. In fact, Nile Cruises for the 2015 holiday season are already sold out. It’s hard to believe, but it’s time to book your 2015 - and 2016 - departures with Admiral Travel International!
