Hilton Honored for Expertise in Southern Africa on the 2019 List
Our own Ryan Hilton, co-proprietor of Admiral Travel International and our agency’s sister tour company Authentescapes, has been named a Travel Specialist for the 16th consecutive year as part of Condé Nast Traveler’s 2019 List of Top Travel Specialists. The annual list honors Hilton as a “Travel Specialist for Southern Africa.”
Hilton’s dedication to photographic safaris, talent in organizing journeys for multi-generational families and groups and commitment to unique partnerships with the region’s top safari lodges which provide unsurpassed hospitality have helped maintain the continued recognition by Condé Nast Traveler and the luxury travel industry overall.
“It’s my constant privilege—and passion—to introduce our travelers to the unique wildlife and world-class hospitality Southern Africa has to offer,” explained Hilton. “At Admiral Travel and Authentescapes—through our collaborative approach to personalized travel planning, we strive to create experiences at the most sought-over, most exclusive and most remote destinations in Africa.” In fact, in addition to Hilton, Admiral Travel boosts multiple travel advisors specializing in destinations throughout Africa—Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
As explained on cntraveler.com, “They [Travel Specialists] pull off the impossible and spare you the logistics.”
Ryan and Malaka are doing just that this spring as they ead Admiral Travel guests on an escorted journey with Salvatore Ferragamo of Il Borro Wines, and grandson of the esteemed Italian footwear designer. The exclusive experience commences on May 9 with a private flight aboard the Crystal Skye Boeing 777 to South Africa where travelers will experience ‘The Place of Miracles.’
“From wine tastings at 35,000 ft. in the air with Salvatore, to the full-week private safari at Singita, this trip is like nothing we have ever offered before,” Hilton stated.
Condé Nast Traveler’s list of Top Travel Specialists 2019 has been released online at www.cntraveler.com/travel-specialists. The April 2019 issue, on newsstands now, features an excerpt from the complete results. Condé Nast Traveler specialists are chosen based on their combination of specialized knowledge, first-hand travel experience, local connections, user-friendliness and value. Every year, the Condé Nast Traveler team evaluates hundreds of applicants. Each applicant undergoes a rigorous screening process that includes a detailed application with sample itineraries, client references and phone interviews.
Hilton is a native Zimbabwe who met his wife and business partner Malaka in 1997 while working as a photo-safari guide at Londolozi Game Reserve in South Africa. Since its inception that same year, Admiral Travel International has served a niche in the luxury travel market by offering one-of-a-kind escorted group departures to Egypt and safaris throughout Africa, now also designing a variety of departures to adventure-based, historic and luxurious food and wine meccas, or any destination of a client’s choice.
