Florence Ponte Vecchio

Italian Getaway for Couples

Share this Review:

We strolled around Trastevere and everywhere else (practically) when we were in Rome..Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Pantheon, Vatican, etc.  That allowed us to eat gelato essentially every day!

The duomo in Florence was unbelievable.  Right off the train, walking to our hotel and BOOM, there it was..right in the middle of town!  We climbed the campanile as well as the dome: 414 steps and 463 steps, respectively.  That was a treat (once we got up to the top)..to see Florence from that point of view!

Of course Ponte Vecchio is so picturesque.  We went to Siena for a short visit - beautiful little town!

Venice was truly special.  Not another city like it in the world.  We took a train to Vicenza and walked up to Monte Berrico.  The colonnade was such a sight.  What a view!

The weather was perfect every day. We skipped over to Milan from Venice, and that was the only time we had over cast skies.  Otherwise, it was sunny and warm.

What an incredible time we had.  We took over 1500 photos!  INCREDIBLE!!
