Just thought I would say hello from the Nile.

The trip has been great so far. Hassan our guide/friend has been great!!! And the cruise is absolutely perfect. Still can't believe the rooms, terrific food and the kids are having a great time on and off the ship.

This was the ‘PERFECT’ trip. We were able to visit all 3 areas of the country, enjoy the Tuscany area and Florence, the Amalfi coast which I dream of every night and the waterways of Venice. 

Everything was perfect—all of the trips, all of the hotels, all of the people we met.  You should market my trip as the PERFECT ITALIAN SAMPLER.  I know a lot of people love Rome but it just isn’t on my list.  

The Monday night surprise was incredible.  Our driver was wonderful.  Actually he was our favorite driver of the entire trip.  We loved the restaurant but the Opera was beyond belief.  It was the one thing I wanted to do but had not scheduled so you can imagine my surprise.  I was like a little kid.  It never occurred to me Caroline was behind all of this so you two did a great job pulling off the best surprise I could ever get—dinner and an Opera in Florence.

I’m glad you like your flowers.  The trip started with an idea and with you.  Without your vision and understanding of just what my dream was, it would not have happened.  You will be hearing from me again in the future to plan my second trip.  It may be a little while but that is part of the trip—anticipation.

Thank you for everything.  I will send you a few pictures soon that I know you will enjoy!

Extraordinary surprises and excellent service in London and France:  nightly gifts including duffel bags with binoculars, a great kids program at the Louvre, no waiting at the Eiffel Tower.  A photographer snapped photos throughout the program and made them into postcards and we were treated to a video presentation of our tour at our farewell dinner.  We had so much fun – it was fabulous – thanks for all your help!

More valuable than reading about Churchill and seeing photographs of him and his paintings in Morocco is the experience of being in Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains, hearing the muezzin call the faithful to prayer, touching and smelling what's offered in the marketplace, tasting local delicacies, and watching the sun set on snow-peaked mountains. I now understand  why Churchill was so astonished by Morocco and often returned there.
