Six Day Gorilla Tracking Safari
Virunga Conservation Area, Rwanda

Safari Specialist Ryan Hilton will escort a small group of travelers to track gorillas in the Virunga Conservation Area of Rwanda – this is the mountainous area where Dian Fossey worked and is buried, and where Gorillas In The Mist was filmed.

Stay next to parks and come up close to the gorillas. There are only approximately 750 mountain gorillas still living in the forests today and seven gorilla families are habituated in this region.

Permits to enter the parks are issued sparingly. Travel with ATG’s preferred operator in the region on what is certain to be a thrilling and deeply moving wilderness experience.

Inclusions: Fares will include two nights’ accommodation Kigali Serena Hotel; Three nights’ accommodation at Virunga lodge including meals, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, laundry services, and any activities clients wish to do around the lodges including a complimentary massage; ground transportation and driver/guide; park fees and gorilla permits. Note: gorilla permit prices are subject to change without warning.

Exclusions: Fares will NOT include international airfare to Rwanda; entry visas; airport taxes; gratuities and items of a personal nature.
